Painting for me, is building bridges that connect my inner reality to the outer world in a way that is not limited by words. Many of my paintings contain trees. Just as trees connect to the earth and sky, I feel they best represent my connection to life. The tree, rooted in earth while reaching for the sun, is a metaphor for myself, other people, and the link that joins us together.

My abstract work is more spontaneous and I paint without the use of recognizable shapes. My intent is to render feelings more directly, compelling the viewer to feel the process and not get lost in the content of form and technique.

Using many different mediums such as acrylic, gels and collage, I enjoy exploring the possibilities of different techniques. I paint, sometimes as if they were no rules, to experience and express myself as directly and faithfully as possible.
